Navotas gets tour bus
MANILA, Philippines — Former mayor and now Rep. John Rey Tiangco on Sunday donated a tour bus for the use of public school students in Navotas.
Tiangco said the “Navotour” bus may be used for city-funded student field trips to museums, universities and colleges, as well as government and private institutions.
The bus may also be used by Navotas students for out-of-town competitions.
“Our public school children deserve to have the same quality of education that students in private schools have. This includes being able to go to field trips and enjoy learning outside the classroom,” Tiangco said.
“Travel fosters learning and inspires one to dream. We hope that through Navotours, Navoteño students would gain enriching experiences that would lead them to aspire for greater things in life,” he added.
