‘French Spiderman’ Alain Robert freed after posting P3,000 bail

MANILA, Philippines — A Frenchman, popularly known as “French Spiderman” Alain Robert, was released from the Makati police detention facility last night. 

 Robert posted P3,000 bail on charges of alarm and scandal, Chief Inspector Gideon Ines Jr., assistant chief of police for operations, said.

Gideon said Robert was freed from detention at around 6:30 p.m. 

Judge Ma. Concepcion Billones of the Makati City Regional Trial Court Branch 62 set Robert’s arraignment on Feb. 1.

Robert was arrested after scaling the seventh tallest building along Ayala Avenue on Tuesday.
