TUGUEGARAO, Cagayan, Philippines — A mountaineer died when he fell from a 50-meter slope on Mt. Tirad in Del Pilar, Ilocos Sur on Sunday.
Senior Police Officer 1 Amando Ramos Jr. said the rock where Jeffrey Cardenas of Bacoor, Cavite was standing rolled down at 6:45 a.m.
Ramos denied reports that the victim fell while taking a selfie.
