Magnitude 5.6 quake hits Bohol

MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude-5.6 earthquake shook Bohol on Saturday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.

The quake, which was tectonic in origin, was located in Lila, Bohol. It struck around 9:15 a.m. at a depth of 551 kilometers.

Intensity I was reported in Catbalogan, Samar and Borongan, Eastern Samar.

Phivolcs said that damage is not expected from the quake but aftershocks are expected.
