Ex-radio broadcaster killed

BANAT NI BATUIGAS - Roel Pareño - The Philippine Star

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – A former radio broadcaster was shot dead in Basilan yesterday.

Police identified the victim as Faizal Saddalani, former anchor of dxNO Radyo Communidad in Isabela City, who became a legal researcher at the city administrator’s office.

Saddalani was walking on his way home from the pier after arriving from Zamboanga City when unidentified motorcycle-riding men fired at him along Tugung street in Isabela City at around 7:30 a.m.

Saddalani died at the scene.

Richard Falcatan, dxNO station manager, said Saddalani was their anchorman from 2011 to 2013.

“He was a good man and had no enemy... We were shocked and sad because of the incident,” Falcatan said.

Police are investigating if the killing was work-related.
