Teacher forces students to drink soda with saliva

MANILA, Philippines — A public elementary school teacher in Mapandan, Pangasinan is under investigation for allegedly forcing two students to drink soda laced with saliva of their classmates.
Education Secretary Sonny Angara ordered the investigation after a video of the incident went viral on social media.
Angara said appropriate actions would be taken if the allegation against the teacher is proven true.
“We’ll give him or her due process, but there will be disciplinary action. We will wait for the results of the investigation,” Angara said.
Reports said the teacher instructed the children to spit into a bottle containing carbonated drink.
The teacher allegedly gave the bottle to the two students who vomited after drinking the soda.
Angara said he has yet to find out the reason of the teacher for doing such.
Meanwhile, in Batangas, an elementary school teacher alleged sexually harassed students in San Jose town.
Police said six female students of the Tugtug Elementary School filed a complaint against the teacher.
The girls said the teacher made a pass at them on Oct. 20 and 21.
