Buttered chicken downs 4 students

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines – Four students taking up a degree in hotel and restaurant management were hospitalized after eating a chicken dish in this city on Tuesday.

The students – Andrea Jimenez, Hana Joy Jimenez, Melisa Nabor and Rose Marie Velasquez, all of Gapan City in Nueva Ecija – who were training at a hotel here, suffered vomiting and abdominal pains after eating the buttered chicken cooked by their instructor on Monday.

Milka Navarro, a doctor at the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center, said the students were dehydrated due to vomiting.

Jimenez has been discharged while the three others remained confined.
