LPA brings heavy rains to Mindanao, Bicol, nearby regions
MANILA, Philippines – A low pressure area, formerly Tropical Depression Onyok, will continue to bring rains in some parts of the country, including Mindanao and Bicol region, weather bureau PAGASA said on Saturday.
In a weather advisory issued 5 a.m., PAGASA said that heavy rains and thunderstorms will be experienced over Mindanao, Bicol region, Central and Eastern Visayas and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms.
Coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough.
Winds will be moderate to strong coming from the northeast over Luzon and coming from the northeast to north over Mindanao.
Pagasa advised residents in the affected areas against heavy rains, strong winds, lightning and possible flash floods.
