COA auditor suspended for being late for work

MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Deputy Ombudsman in the Visayas ordered an Iloilo auditor of the Commission on Audit (COA) suspended for one month and a day for habitual tardiness.

In a report Friday, the Office of the Ombudsman said State Auditor III Llane Saratan reported late for work and cut it early in January, February, October, November and December in 2011, as seen in her daily time record.

Saratan's superior at the COA Regional Office VI was also admonished for failure to act on the accused's tardiness.

Deputy Ombudsman for Visayas Paul Elmer Clemente irected the COA regional director to implement the suspension order.
