KORONADAL CITY, Philippines – The bakery that sold the pastries that downed 24 guests during a party on Tuesday has been shut down.
“We are temporarily closing it for an investigation. We don’t want any similar incident to happen,” Tupi Mayor Reynaldo Tamayo said yesterday.
The victims complained of dizziness and abdominal pain after eating jelly roll slices and caramel candies at the party.
Felixberto Depaz, sanitary health inspector of Tupi, said they discovered certain violations when they inspected the bakery.
