NCRPO director urges newly promoted cops to press on with anti-crime drive

MANILA, Philippines - National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) acting Regional Director, Chief Superindentent Joel Pagdilao has called on the 1,201 newly promoted police officers of the region to continue with the Philippine National Police’s drive against criminality under its “Lambat-Bitag” campaign.

Pagdilao made the call as he led the oath-taking of the newly-promoted police officers at the NCRPO’s headquarters at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City on Monday.

He lauded the newly promoted police non-commissioned officers (PNCOs) who included 244 Police Officers 2 (PO2s), 214 Police Officers 3 (PO3s), 68 Senior Police Officers 1 (SPO1s), 440 Senior Police Officers 2 (SPO2s), 25  Senior Police Officers 3 (SPO3s) and 210 Senior Police Officers 4 (SPO4s).

Pagdilao encouraged the newly promoted PNCOs to stand firm as protectors of the people, open to the public and be law abiders with integrity, competence and excellence.

“Always remember that every policeman regardless of rank can contribute towards the realization of our mission and with individual and collective commitment, peace, we will prevail,” Pagdilao said.

Pagdilao pinned Medalya ng Kagalingan to the gallant police officers of Masambong Police Station of Quezon City Police District and Jose Abad Santos Police Station, Manila Police District for the successful arrest of Most Wanted Persons listed in their corresponding station.

The efforts of the personnel of Warrant and Arrest Section of the Masambong Police Station led to the arrest of Christian Telin, who is responsible for series of robbery hold-up in areas of Masambong and Quezon City.

With the individual and collective commitment of every police officer, Pagdilao assured that NCRPO would continue the strengthening of “Lambat-Sibat."

Last Friday, the NCRPO  nabbed a total of 465 suspects in its "One-Time-Big-Time Operation.”

The NCRPO also seized a total of 16 illegal guns and 90 motorcycles which it said, were used in various crime incidents.

The One Time Big Time operation is a brainchild of the PNP Lambat Sibat, that aims to intensify the reduction of crime rates in areas of most concern. It also strengthens the coordination of stations and its units.
