MANILA, Philippines - The Office of the Ombudsman yesterday warned the public against fake rulings or resolutions of the anti-graft agency being circulated by unscrupulous individuals.
Sources said even the signature of Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales was forged in the bogus documents discovered.
“The office discovered the existence of fake decisions received by respondents in Camarines Norte, which turned out to be spurious and non-existent,” the Office of the Ombudsman announced.
A public advisory on the anti-graft agency’s website said that it is investigating the matter.
It advised the public to verify with the ombudsman the authenticity of a resolution or decision.
