Couple nabbed for drugs

BUTUAN CITY, Philippines  – A man and his wife were arrested for alleged possession of illegal drugs following a raid on a suspected drug den in this city over the weekend.

Aragasi Camid, 33, and his wife Nora, 32, pleaded with the authorities not to detain them, saying nobody would look after their eight children, the eldest of whom is only 11 years old.

A team composed of anti-narcotics agents from the local police and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group reportedly recovered from the couple 11 plastic sachets said to contain shabu, marked money, a motorcycle and drug paraphernalia during a raid in Barangay Ong Yiu.
