CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – A female engineer who was reported missing in Lipa City, Batangas on Friday was found dead in Los Baños City in this province on Saturday.
The body of Imelda Natividad, 45, project manager of Shelter System Development Corp., was found in her Toyota Vios (ZFE-315) parked along PCCARD Road in Barangay Timugan, city police chief Superintendent Romeo Desidero said.
Natividad was hogtied in the backseat and had a gunshot wound in the head when she was found at around 9:30 a.m. by a group of teenagers.
Desiderio said Natividad was identified by her family.
He said the family told police that the victim’s car was seen in Tiaong, Quezon hours before she was found.
The victim’s personal belongings, including her mobile phone, were recovered at the scene.
The victim was reportedly seized by unidentified men in Lipa City on Friday.
Lipa City police director Superintendent Carlos Barde said Natividad, who lives in Sampaguita Homes Subdivision, left home in her car at around 5:30 a.m. to go to the Lipa City public market.
Investigators from the Lipa City and Laguna police are conducting a parallel investigation on Natividad’s murder.
Probers said her murder may be related to work or her personal life.
