PDEA seizes P1.2M worth of shabu in Camarines Norte ops

Shabu, a white crystalline substance, is considered as the most abused drug in the Philippines.

MANILA, Philippines - Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and local police seized an estimated P1.2 million worth of  methamphetamine hydrochloride, popularly known as shabu, in a buy bust operation in Camarines Norte.

PDEA and local police agents in Sta. Elena, Camarines Norte seized the illegal drugs from  Mamao Misug, 31, a driver, of Calauag, Quezon.

A belated report showed that last August 25, around 6:50 p.m., authorities conducted a drug sting at Sitio Pookan, Tabugon, which resulted to the arrest of Misug who sold to an undercover PDEA agent shabu weighing 250 grams.

Misug's accomplice, identified only as Batotoy Regala, eluded arrest.

Misug, temporarily detained at the local police station, is now facing illegal drug raps.
