CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – The police chief of Lipa City in Batangas has been relieved from his post for failing to resolve recent shooting incidents in the city.
Former Dasmariñas City police chief Superintendent Carlos Barde replaced Superintendent Jacinto Malinao, Senior Superintendent Omega Jireh Fidel on Tuesday, Batangas police director said yesterday.
Records show that at least 15 shooting incidents were reported during Malinao’s stint. The death of a nursing student and the ambush of two councilors and two barangay captains were among the unresolved cases.
