TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A woman and her son, who were charged for attacking their neighbor with bladed weapons five years ago, were arrested in Balbalan town in Kalinga over the weekend.
Irene Doy-ac, 55, and her son Arnel were collared at their hideout in the village of Barangay Ababaan, said Inspector Willy Dumasin, Balbalan police chief.
The suspects were accused of hacking and stabbing Laurence Malnawa in Tabuk City in 2010 over a land dispute.
Dumasin said police earlier arrested Irene’s husband, Benjamin, for a similar offense.
