MANILA, Philippines - A teenage boy was shot dead allegedly by a member of a rival gang in Quezon City, Monday morning.
Reports said that Dexter Barrion,17, bore a gunshot wound on the forehead. The bullet exited the nape of the victim, who was believed to be shot at close range.
Around 7 :30 a.m., an unidentified gunman was running after Barrion who was cornered and shot along Republic Avenue near Basilio compound.
Barrion had a pen gun laced around his neck when found by bystanders in the area, reports said.
Witnesses told police investigators that a riot between two rival gangs in Greater Fairview area prior the shooting.
Police are still looking into the incident.
