MANILA, Philippines - A man killed his wife and their two children before committing suicide inside their house in Iligan City on Sunday night.
Police said Bernabe Laniojan stabbed to death his wife Roallyn and their children Crisel Joy, 5; and Dodong, 2 inside their residence in Barangay Tubod, Iligan City.
Initial investigation showed that neighbors of the Laniojans heard screams coming from the victims' house around 11 p.m., prompting them to call for the police.
When policemen arrived at the victims' house, they forced the door open because it was locked from the inside.
Authorities found the victims' bodies inside the house while the suspect, Bernabe, was rushed to a hospital but doctors could no longer revive him.
Bernabe used a kitchen knife to kill himself after murdering his wife and kids, said authorities, who found a suicide note inside the house.
