MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday ordered the dismissal of four Bacoor City policemen for their alleged involvement in the illegal drugs trade.
PNP Officer-in-Charge Deputy Director General Leonardo Espina ordered Summary Dismissal Proceedings (SDP) against Police Officers 3 Paul Barriosa Santoeli and Jay Salondro Ilagan; and Police Officers 1 Joeyluz Guiruela Pulusan and Roger Uy Reble; all members of the Police Community Precinct 2 of Bacoor City Police Station.
Espina told Calabarzon regional police director Chief Superintendent Jesus Gatchalian to "file all necessary administrative and criminal cases" against the four policemen.
Reports said that last January 7, around 11:30 a.m., operatives of the Cavite Police Provincial Office, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), staged an anti-illegal drugs operation at Barangay Habay II of Bacoor City that resulted in the arrest of the four cops.
Authorities also seized nine plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, three Glock 9mm pistols, and an M-16 assault rifle.
Espina also instructed Gatchalian "look for all others who may be involved until they are all neutralized."
