MANILA, Philippines - Moderate earthquakes hit parts of Luzon and Mindanao yesterday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Phivolcs said the first tremor occured at 1:06 a.m. with its epicenter traced at 21 kilometers (km) northwest of Agno, Pangasinan.
The quake was reportedly felt at Intensity 3 in Angeles City, Pampanga and Intensity 1 in the cities of Quezon, Pasay and Pasig.
A magnitude 4.6 quake also struck one km southeast of Lugait, Misamis Oriental at 2:36 p.m.
It was felt at Intensity 3 in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte and Cagayan de Oro City and Intensity 2 in Malasag, Cagayan de Oro and in Tagoloan and Salvador, Misamis Oriental.
Phivolcs said it was not expecting any damage or aftershocks.
