MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude-6.4 earthquake struck off the coast of Sultan Kudarat on Tuesday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The agency said the tremor was recorded at 1:11 p.m. with an epicenter located at southwest of Kalamansig town.
The quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 619 kilometers.
Phivolcs said Intensity II was reported in Bislig City.
No damage is expected from the quake though aftershocks are possible, Phivolcs warned.
