MANILA, Philippines - Eight people, including five students, were injured after two school service vehicles collided in an intersection in Quezon City on Monday.
A radio report said the school service vehicles of the Malayan High School of Science and Xavier School collided at the intersection of Speaker Perez and N. Roxas Street in Barangay Lourdes, Quezon City.
The passengers of both the service vehicles, mostly elementary and high school students, sustained minor injuries and contusions during the accident, the report added.
The driver of the Xavier school service , Rasmor Padio, said he was about to cross the intersection when the Malayan school vehicle hit them on the side.
However, Gerrylito Papa, driver of the Malayan school service, said the Xavier school vehicle did not slow down while crossing the intersection.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
