TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A quarrel over a package and money sent from abroad by his mother allegedly led a man to kill his sister-in-law in Ilagan City Sunday night.
Dimas Vargas reportedly attacked Elma Vargas with a kitchen knife at her house in Barangay Lullutan, killing her and wounding her daughter Myrene, said city police chief Superintendent Vicente Valdez.
Valdez said the suspect was reportedly irked after learning that the victims had more gifts than him from his mother, who is based in Canada.
Police have launched a manhunt for the suspect.
