Michelle Zoleta - The Philippine Star

CAMP NAKAR, Lucena City , Philippines– At least 300 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P3.5 million had been seized in an anti-drug operation that also resulted in the arrest of a suspected drug trafficker in Tiaong town, Quezon last Friday.

Roderick Guevarra, 31, was arrested by members of the Tiaong and Candelaria police in Barangay Lumingon at around 3:30 p.m., said Quezon police director Senior Superintendent Ronaldo Ylagan.

Ylagan said Guevarra was reportedly a leader of the Guevarra drug syndicate operating in the province.

The arresting team recovered three plastic sachets reportedly containing shabu, drug paraphernalia and a 9mm pistol.

Ylagan said a case for violation of Republic Act 9165 and RA 10591 would be filed against Guevarra.
