MANILA, Philippines — The widow of slain international race car driver Enzo Pastor and her alleged lover are hiding together in the Visayas, the Pastor family said Thursday.

Pastor's parents told reporters that Dalia Guerrero Pastor and businessman Domingo "Sandy" de Guzman, the alleged mastermind in the killing of the race car driver, reunited after the latter was released on bail for charges of illegal gun possession.

Police Officer 2 Edgar Angel, the suspected gunman in the slay, claimed in an extrajudicial confession before the Philippine National Police last month that Dalia and De Guzman have an illicit affair and that the businessman paid him P100,000 to kill the champion racer.

Angel said he agreed to hit Pastor after De Guzman showed him photos of Dalia's injuries supposedly from domestic violence.

Dalia, also a suspect in the slay, denied in her counter-affidavit that she has a "love relationship" with De Guzman.

Angel was indicted by the Department of Justice on September 12 for the murder of Pastor.

Pastor's family, meanwhile, welcomed the development in the case. - reports from Edu Punay
