MANILA, Philippines - Expect more revelations when the Senate Blue Ribbon sub-committee resumes its probe on the alleged overpriced Makati City Hall II parking building next week, lawyer Renato Bondal said on Friday.

"I have information that there will be a lot more surprising facts that will come out," Bondal said without elaborating in an interview with Mornings@ANC.

Bondal filed a plunder complaint against Vice President Jejomar Binay, Makati City Mayor Junjun Binay and several others over the alleged overpriced P2.7-billion Makati City Hall parking building.

The lawyer, who was defeated by the younger Binay in the 2010 mayoral race, testified at the Senate hearing on Wednesday and backed up his claims that the controversial Makati building was overpriced.

He also alleged that other infrastructure projects of the Binays were overpriced such as the Makati City Hall, the Ospital of Makati 1 and the Makati Science High School building.

Bondal said he will be attending the second Senate hearing on Tuesday along with new resource persons invited by the Blue Ribbon sub-committee, including Hilmarcs Construction Corp., the contractor of the Makati parking building.

Documents related to the alleged overpriced buildings have been summoned by the Senate panel and the younger Binay promised to submit the files.

"We're as anxious to see them," Bondal said.

Commission on Audit chairperson Grace Pulido-Tan said the Makati City Hall II parking building has not yet been cleared and that the agency is set to conduct a special audit of the project. - Louis Bacani
