Drug dens in Cabadbaran City raided

BUTUAN CITY, Philippines – Shabu, firearms, ammunition, vehicles and mobile phones allegedly used in illegal drug transactions – estimated at P1.5 million – were confiscated last Tuesday during simultaneous raids on suspected drug dens in Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte.

Senior Superintendent Pedro Ubaldo, Region 13 deputy police director for operations, said the raiding team also seized laptops, bankbooks and deposit slips. 

Arrested was a certain Abdulfarah Ampaso Macatanong whose house yielded a number of guns and ammunition. One Omar Saumay Ampaso, alleged leader of a criminal gang, was invited for questioning.

Criminal charges against three other suspected drug dealers were filed.
