CABANATUAN CITY, Philippines – Seven civilians, including a sexagenarian architect and a 50-year-old government employee, were held by a joint police-Army team for illegal possession of firearms and the killing of wild ducks at the Pantabangan Dam in Nueva Ecija last June 11.
Charges have been filed against architect Romulo Torres, 60; government employee Ildefonso Padigos, 50; Wilfred Puzon, 60; Jack Pineda, 21; Anthony Aglipay, 23; Anthony Pineda, 14; and fisherman Urado del Carmen.
Senior Superintendent Crizaldo Nieves, provincial police director, said authorities acted on a tip-off that armed men were hunting wild ducks in the dam.
