MANILA, Philippines - A provincial jail guard was arrested by anti-narcotics agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during a sting operation in Western Samar.
PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. identified the suspect as Danilo Niñora Jabonete, 49, provincial jail guard at Catbalogan Provincial Jail, of Poblacion, Brgy. 6, Calbiga, Western Samar.
Reports said that last May 26, around 3:30 p.m., elements of PDEA Regional Office 8 arrested Niñora after he agreed to sell a plastic sachet, containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, to a poseur-buyer in Poblacion, Brgy. 6, Calbiga, Western, Samar.
Authorities seized from Ninora a plastic sachet of suspected shabu, seven folded aluminum foils and P500 bill used as buy-bust money.
Niñora will face charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Section 12 (Possession of Equipment and Other Paraphernalia for Dangerous Drugs), Article II, of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
