Chinese yields kilo of shabu in Pasay bust

MANILA, Philippines - A suspected big time Chinese drug trafficker was nabbed during a sting operation in Pasay City late Monday night, seizing around a kilo of shabu, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. identified the suspect as Gao Qiang.

Initial reports showed that anti-narcotics agents from the National Capital Regional Office conducted the buy-bust operation around 11:45 p.m. at Newport Blvd., Pasay which resulted in the arrest of Qiang.

Authorities confiscated from Qiang a plastic sachet of suspected shabu weighing more or less a kilo.

Illegal drug charges are now being reading against Qiang before a court.
