MANILA, Philippines - A man was seriously injured after jumping off a Metro Rail Transit station in Quezon City and landed on the roof of a bus loading bay along Edsa, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said on Tuesday.
MMDA chairman Francis Tolentino said Jefferson Beati, 28, of Valenzuela City , jumped off the MRT-station in Cubao southbound around 8 p.m. Monday.
Beati, who suffered bruises and wounds on the body, was immediately rushed to the East Medical Avenue Center for treatment.
It remains unclear why Beati, now in critical condition at the hospital, leaped from from the MRT station.
