Suspects in Laguna road rage killing charged
LAGUNA, Philippines – A businessman and his alleged partner were charged with murder before the Sta. Rosa prosecutor’s office yesterday in connection with the road rage death of a computer technician two weeks ago.
Witnesses identified Efren de Guzman as the one who allegedly fired at a Prince shuttle bus in Barangay Balibago on March 13, killing Frances Falculan, said Sta. Rosa police chief Superintendent Bong Malabed.
He said Jael Fajardo surrendered to the police and admitted she owned the Mitsubishi Montero driven by De Guzman during the incident.
Fajardo was brought to the prosecutor’s office, but was released for further investigation. Police officers have yet to find De Guzman.
Falculan and his companions were on their way to work when their shuttle bus rear-ended Fajardo’s vehicle in Barangay Balibago. De Guzman, who was driving Fajardo’s vehicle, reportedly pulled out a gun and fired at the shuttle bus. The bullet reportedly hit Falculan in the head.
