BANNA, Ilocos Norte, Philippines – A village councilor was killed while his companion was wounded when two motorcycle-riding men shot them in Barangay Cristina in this town at dawn yesterday.
Prospero Abaton, 39, died at the scene from gunshot wounds while Aleries Uducayen was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Investigators recovered slugs for caliber .45 and 9 mm pistols from the crime scene.
