MANILA, Philippines - The new chief of he National Bureau of Investigation is expected to take his oath of office Thursday morning before the Department of Justice.
A radio report said Justice Secretary Leila de Lima will administer the oath of office to NBI deputy director for regional operation services, Atty. Virgilio Mendez, to take over the helm of the law enforcement agency around 9:30 a.m.
Mendez will officially replace Atty. Medardo de Lemos, who has acted as officer in charge after former NBI head Nonatus Rojas left the agency.
