MANILA, Philippines - Millennium Challenge Account-Philippines (MCA-P) and the Philippines Against Child Trafficking (PACT) jointly held last week the third of a series of information and education activities in Samar and Eastern Samar to fight human trafficking in the two provinces.

The community education sessions were held in the municipalities of Llorente, Hernani and MacArthur, all in Eastern Samar, last Aug. 28-30.

The activities were part of the community outreach component of MCA-P’s Anti-Trafficking in Persons campaign in 13 towns in Eastern Samar and two towns in Samar being implemented in cooperation with the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

The 15 towns are traversed by the 222-kilometer road rehabilitation project funded by Millennium Challenge Corp.
