MANILA,Philippines - A non-government organization on Monday will ask the Quezon City government to sit down with officials to discuss the relocation of informal settlers.
Gabriela-Bagong Silangan members and residents of North Triangle are expected to meet with the city officials at the Quezon City legislative building and hold a picket outside the city hall around 10:30 a.m.
The groups said they will question and oppose the July 30 deadline of the city government for informal settlers living along waterways to relocate to another place.
The informal settlers will also follow up with the city government their proposal for an in-city relocation.
