Shabu, drug items found in Leyte detention cell

BAYBAY CITY , Philippines   â€“ Regional officials of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology and the Philippine National Police are now investigating how an estimated P10,000 worth of shabu and drug paraphernalia found their way in one of the detention cells of the provincial jail.

According to information gathered from the Leyte police, acting jail warden Antonio Ubaldo and his guards found 10 sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia in detention cell 3 during a surprise inspection.

The identities of the detainees in the cell have not been disclosed.
