TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A family outing turned into a tragedy after a 29-year-old man was drowned while swimming at a beach in Barangay San Nicolas West, Agoo, La Union last Friday.
Chief Inspector Artemio Infante, town police chief, said relatives of Jovito Baro managed to pull him to the shore but he did not make it.
Baro was declared dead on arrival at the La Union Medical Center.
