MANILA, Philippines - Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested a suspected member of a drug syndicate in an entrapment operation in Roxas City.
PDEA chief Arturo Cacdac Jr. identified the suspect as Sorabelle Aporta, 36, of Sitio Railway, Brgy. Punta Tabuc, Roxas City, Capiz.
Cacdac said that Aporta is a known member of the Arandez drug group, which operates in Roxas City and other parts of Capiz province.
Aporta was arrested by PDEA operatives during a buy-bust opertion last April 12 in Sitio Railway, Barangay Punta Tabuc.
Sezed from the suspect were nine saches of shabu weighing at least 3 grams and vaious drug paraphernalia.
The suspect is temporarily detained at the Roxas City police station facing illegal drugs charges.
