Dolphy's grandson nabbed in drug raid in Laguna

MANILA, Philippines - A grandson and namesake of the late comedy king Dolphy and his companion were arrested in a drug raid in Laguna province, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said on Wednesday.

PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. said PDEA agents nabbed Rodolfo Quizon III, 29, a businessman and resident of Block 2, Lot 3, Barangay Palasan, Sta. Cruz, Laguna.

Quizon and his companion Jayar Salac, 28 were arrested by PDEA agents during a search at the house of the late comedy king's grandson on Tuesday.

Cacdac said that the items seized by the agents from Quizon's house include eight grams of marijuana, 16 tablets of valium and various drug paraphernalia.

He said that charges for violation of Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act are being prepared against Quizon and Salac.
