Bucor has new chief

MANILA, Philippines - President Benigno Aquino III has appointed a former Philippine National Police official as the new chief of the Bureau of Corrections.

Reports said Aquino  appointed ex PNP Region 1 Director Franklin Bucayu to head the Bucor.

Bucayu has replaced former Bucor director Gaudencio Pangilinan who resigned December  after the controversy behind the alleged abduction of murder convict Rolito Go from the New Bilibid Prisons in Muntinlupa City. - Dennis Carcamo
