2 housemaids nabbed for stealing P1.3-M jewelry

MANILA, Philippines - Police arrested two household helpers on Friday for stealing P1.3 million worth of jewelry from their employer in Nangka, Marikina City.

Roijean Ullurata and accomplice Gelyn Perido were arrested based on a complaint by their employer, 61-year-old employer Rosario Lagdameo.

Lagdameo claimed that when she discovered that her jewelry box had been emptied, she caught Ullurata texting Perida, who is employed by her daughter living next door.

Perido had admitted to having taken the jewelry herself and hid them in her employer's garden.
