41 towns, 3 cities in Caraga tagged as poll hotspots

BUTUAN CITY, Philippines – At least 41 towns, three cities and 37 barangays in the Caraga region have been identified as election hotspots.

Among the areas classified as Category 1 or areas of concern are the municipalities of Tubay, Agusan del Norte and three of its barangays and Trento, Agusan del Sur and six of its barangays.

The Philippine National Police (PNP)-Caraga classified as Category 2 or areas of immediate concern 18 towns and Bislig City in Surigao del Sur, nine towns in Agusan del Norte, eight towns and Surigao City in  Surigao del Norte and Butuan City.

Dinagat Islands was not listed as an area of concern despite rivalry among members of the Ecleo political clan.
