MALOLOS CITY, Philippines – Two Bulacan policemen are in hot water for allegedly beating up two men inside a police station hours before the traditional taping of gun muzzles in preparation for the New Year.
Chief Inspector Arwin Tadeo, Angat town police chief, said Wilfred Balingit and his unidentified friend suffered minor injuries.
Tadeo did not identify the police officers involved in the incident pending the results of the investigation.
Balingit’s father, Wilfredo, said they were eating at a store when his son and a friend went out to urinate. The two policemen, thinking that the two would leave without paying, confronted them and allegedly beat them up following an altercation.
