Drug test for North Cotabato employees

John Unson - The Philippine Star

COTABATO CITY, Philippines – The governor of North Cotabato has ordered a drug test for provincial employees following the arrest of one of its workers last Saturday for allegedly peddling shabu.

Gov. Emmylou Taliño-Mendoza said she would immediately remove any employee who will test positive for illegal drug use.

Bandro Teparan Olimpain, a worker at the provincial government’s engineering department, was arrested during a buy-bust operation in his hometown in Kabacan, North Cotabato.

Superintendent Renante Cabico, chief of the Kabacan municipal police, said Olimpain was the 33rd drug trafficker arrested in the town since last October.
