2 FEU studes shot dead, school mourns

MANILA, Philippines - Students of Far Eastern University (FEU) in Manila declared Wednesday a "Black Shirt Day" after three of their fellow students were shot by two unidentified motorcycle riders Tuesday night along Morayta, leaving two of them dead.

Reports said that Juan Paolo Nepomuceno and Gerald Martin Ramos died from gunshot wounds in the head, neck and body. They died while being rushed to to the University of Santo Tomas Hospital.

The two students were on their way to take dinner in a nearby eatery when two men shot them in front of their school, also leaving their friend AJ Santiago injured.

Santiago is now recuperating and in stable condition at the Mary Chiles Hospital in Manila.

FEU administrators organized a dedicated Mass at the university's chapel on Wednesday for Nepomuceno and Ramos, expressing hopes for immediate justice for the students.

Ramos celebrated his birthday on the day of the attack.

Police said they are conducting investigations on the incident.
