Naga City ABC head found dead

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – The president of the Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) of Naga City was found dead in his office with a bullet wound in the right temple yesterday morning, police said.

Superintendent Renato Bataller, Bicol police spokesman, said Alex Nero, 45, chairman of Barangay Libotoon, was holding a .45-caliber pistol in his right hand.

Bataller said police theorized that Nero killed himself after a suicide note was found in his drawer, adding though that a probe was underway to ensure that there was no foul play in his death.– Cet Dematera, Cecille Suerte Felipe
