BAGUIO CITY, Philippines - Even Baguio lawyers are baffled with the brutal end of their 66-year-old colleague - Roldan Imzon – who was found dead along a rice paddy in Pangasinan on Monday morning.
“We are still gathering details,” said Integrated Bar of the Philippine-Baguio Benguet chapter auditor Isagani Calderon, aside from minimal details like Imzon's age and that he came from abroad and was then engaged in a loan business.
“Twenty-two years na siyang di nagpay IBP dues,” Calderon said.
Imzon, who reportedly lives in South Sanitary Camp, Baguio City, was found by residents with two bullets in his body, his face wrapped in masking tape and hands tied along rice paddies in Barangay Inuman, Pozzorubio town.
He was reportedly taken by three men last Saturday here, killed then believed to be dumped in Pozzorubio town.
Lawyers in Baguio also claim that the sexagenarian lawyer has been inactive in the law practice in the city for a long time.
