MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude 3.9 quake shook parts of Agusan del Sur yesterday but there was no report of damage or injury, state seismologists said.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the tremor struck at 9:57 a.m. with its epicenter traced at seven kilometers southwest of Talacogon, Agusan del Sur.
It was felt at Intensity 3 in Talacogon and Intensity 2 in San Luis, Agusan del Sur.
A magnitude 3.3 quake was also recorded in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte at 12:49 p.m. yesterday.
Its epicenter was located at 48 kms northwest of Pagudpud. The quake was not felt, Phivolcs said.
